Since coming to college my relationship with him has grown tremendously. He has shown me great favor and realization that I am one of his chosen children. I have started this blog to tell others about my journey in my relationship with him. It is not always easy but it is always worth it. I hope this blog will inspire people (especially young women) to hold fast to him and that you will prosper.
My first official entry (this one!) is to talk about my biggest blessing. I went home for my birthday weekend (the big 2-0) and I realized what a blessing my family is to me. Not only are they supportive and understanding but they are also Christ centered.
My father is pretty amazing. Whenever I listen to his testimony I am in awe and so grateful for him being an ever present help in my life. He has always been a strong man who has shown great faith. Not a lot of girls in my area have a strong male influence who is based in the word and works to do his best to love the women in his life. From his mother all the way down to his granddaughter, he constantly spoils the women in his life constantly. I've even loaned him out to a few friends and he has a heart that is never full.
My mother is my best example of a servant leader. She constantly gives herself to others and is always thinking of ways to make others feel special. She is such a giver, and she made my life growing up amazing. What I love best about her is that she showed me the role of a women in a marriage the way the bible describes (Ephesians 5:22-24). She has never undermined his position as a leader and has stayed a true women of faith. Her constant serving has made me into the active person I am.
Together my parents form an amazing unit which only God can put together. He has shined favor down onto his children and has held them through the tough times. Not only that he poured some of their best aspects into a wonderful child (not to toot my own horn) who loves him just as much as they do and is following their example in faithful service to him.
